Precise leveling with Spax screws
- Seamless and accurate adjustment: You effortlessly align wooden battens with millimeter precision without using timber wedges.
- Maximum bit grip security: The T-STAR plus T30 drive ensures exceptional power transfer and prevents bit slippage.
- High performance corrosion resistance: The durable Wirox coating protects your steel screws for long-lasting structural timber installations.
With the Spax 6 x 160 mm adjustment screw, you can align timber battens and substructures with millimeter precision against uneven wooden substrates. After driving the screw in fully, simply turning it counter-clockwise engages the holding ribs beneath the flat head to adjust spacing steplessly without timber wedges or shims. The 4CUT point and serrated thread effectively minimize wood splitting, eliminating the need for pre-drilling in softwood. The t-star plus T30 drive ensures exceptional bit grip and optimal power transfer to prevent cam-out. Finished with a durable Wirox coating, these steel screws provide dependable corrosion protection for dry interior framing and sheltered outdoor applications.
Product description
- Optimum countersinking of the screw head thanks to special flat head
- Fast and reliable processing with little effort (more screws on one battery charge)
- Infinite levelling of wooden substructures on solid wood substrates, wood-based materials and boards
- Effectively reduces the risk of wood splitting, even at small edge distances
- Without pre-drilling (depending on the type of wood)
With a wooden substructure consisting of battens and joists on wooden substrates, it is a matter of millimetre-precise alignment of the battens. Whereas you previously had to make do with washers or wedges, you can now save yourself the trouble with the SPAX adjusting screw.
By screwing the screw all the way in, the screw head is completely countersunk. When you then turn the screw slightly to the left, the holding ribs located under the screw head clamp into the wood and the batten is lifted off the substrate over the desired distance.
Our set screw also offers our own SPAX features, such as the T-STAR plus force gripping system, the 4CUT and the wave profile. The flat head allows optimal countersinking and offers high pull-through resistance. Our WIROX coating ensures that SPAX adjustment screws can be used both indoors and outdoors, as long as they are not exposed to the weather.
For you, this means: easy and millimetre-precise levelling of the support slats without wedges - this installation method is extremely time-saving.
